thermostat. This low vision aid can be operated by pushing its buttons,
all of which talk, or by simply talking to the thermostat which
responds to voice commands once it has been programmed.
How do you install the KELVIN Talking Thermostat?
We recommend that the KELVIN Talking Thermostat be professionally
installed.
Does the KELVIN Talking Thermostat work with heat pumps?
No, the KELVIN Talking Thermostat does not work with heat pumps.
How does the KELVIN Talking Thermostat run?
The KELVIN Talking Thermostat requires 4 AA batteries (not included)
and will run on house current, batteries or both. It is set at
the factory to run on both.
Is there an audible warning if the batteries are running low?
Yes, our talking thermostat will warn you if the batteries are
running low by making a beeping sound every 10 minutes.
Can the voice prompts and clapper features be disabled?
Yes, if you wish, you can deactivate the voice prompts and clapper
features. Complete instructions are included in the operation
manual.
What are the electrical specs for the KELVIN Talking Thermostat?
The electrical specs for our programmable thermostat are 10 –
30 VAC and up to 1Amp (Max load for all terminals)
What are the thermostat specs for the KELVIN Talking Thermostat?
The set point range for our programmable thermostat is 40 degrees
F – 90 degrees F (4 degrees C – 32 degrees C). Operating
temperatures range from 32 degrees F – 105 degrees F.
Does the KELVIN Talking Thermostat display temperature in
Celsius?
The talking thermostat is factory set to display the temperature
in Fahrenheit, but can be switched to Celsius. Complete instructions
are included in the operation manual.
What is the size of the KELVIN Talking Thermostat?
It is 5” x 5” x 1 3/8”.
Can I return the product if I am not completely satisfied?
The KELVIN Talking Thermostat can be returned, no questions asked,
within 30 days from purchase, provided it is returned in mint
condition and has not been damaged or abused by the customer.
It must be accompanied by a dated sales slip or invoice and all
manuals and supplemental parts. A refund or credit in full will
be issued, minus the cost of shipping to the customer.
